My name is Ruairí O Neill, I work with many different materials to create jewellery for you to wear, furniture for you to relax on, lighting to create an ambient atmosphere in your homes, sculptures to touch and paintings to hang on your walls. I would like to welcome you to wander around my website, take your time, the shop is always open!

Continuing with my close relationship with the National Breast Cancer Research Institute of Ireland, I am continuing to raise funds through the sale of The Oisrí Ring.

As with last year I am offering the profits of the first ten Oisrí Rings sold online to NBCRI (www.nbcri.ie for donations and information).

10% of profits of all online sales go to NBCRI

New for November 2008

is the launching of an additional website running alongside An Duach. Silrua is the new name and as a first you can now purchase my paintings online at www.silrua.com along with the latest in my jewellery creations.

July 2009

I have started working with material that I find when out walking along the seashore. Usually after an Atlantic storm the beaches become a treasure trove (at least to me!). At the moment I am working with a luminous pink vinyl that had a previous life as a marker buoy. The result is a light and colourful earring that goes beautiful with the attached silver, I hope you like them. The Luminous and Cool Pink Silver Jewellery range is available on www.silrua.com rings, necklaces and bracelets to follow shortly!

The new Cool Pink Jewellery is also stocked at 'Ohh! by Gum' an ecletic collection of items from Bulls Eyes to silk Corsets!

'Ohh! by Gum' is located in the Station House Courtyard, Clifden, Connemara, Co. Galway

From my studio in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht I make by hand silver jewellery that is sculptural in form and as unique as the person that is wearing it.

Painting continues to be the perfect medium to express my emotions and responces to life and living in Connemara. I love the colours and the whole process of painting.

The work is abstract and the responce has been very positive. At the moment I am working with acrylic on canvas. Later in the year I will do a series in oil. The work comes in its own contemporary frame ready to be hung on your wall.

I have also started a wooden furniture and lighting collection. Again, I am driven in design by the surrounding sea and found objects on Connemara's beaches. Driftwood and railway sleepers from the old Clifden Railway line have been an inspiration in my Seawood Seat ( guaranteed to last two generations!)) and Seawood Floor Light. The designs are simple and sculptural in form with each piece having a unique design for you.
